The REVA electric car NXR is slated for launch in 2011 for the India car market and worldwide in 2012.
The REVA NXR electric car is larger in size than the G-Wiz EV and will be certified as car with crash tests and airbags. The REVA NXR is a two-door hatchback with room for four adults and has improved acceleration, range of 99 miles (160 km) on a single charge, and a top speed of 65 MPH (104 km/h).
NXR drivers can communicate with their EV to determine the time remaining for a full-change, and even pre-heat or pre-cool the car, prior to arrival.
The REVA NXR also features a range anxiety reduction technology called REVive® that allows drivers to remotely activate a reserve charge, which will get them on the road again if they accidentally drain the batteries of their EV. The new electric car from REVA is also suppose to feature Xenon headlamps and improve on the EV technology of the G-Wiz.
